In a randomized COSMOS trial analysis of ~958 older adults, daily multivitamin use for two years was associated with slowed biological aging on five epigenetic clocks—about four months less aging overall—with larger benefits among participants who were biologically older than their chronological age. Results, published in Nature Medicine, suggest multivitamins may modestly slow epigenetic markers of aging, though further study is needed to link these changes to clinical outcomes.
